½ Cup Warm Water
1 Teaspoon of Borax
1 Small Mixing Cup (Disposable)
1 Tablespoon of Clear Children Craft Glue
1 Tablespoon of Cornstarch
1 Wooden Stirring Stick
Food Dye (Optional)
Small container or ziplock bag for storage
In the measuring cup, slowly mix in 1 teaspoon of Borax into the ½ cup of warm water.
Mix until all of the solution is dissolved.
Let the Borax solution sit while doing the next steps.
Pour 1 tablespoon of clear craft glue into the small mixing cup.
(Optional) Add 1-2 drops of color food dye and/or color glitter into the glue.
Pour in ½ teaspoon of the Borax solution and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch.
Let the solution in the mixing cup sit between 20-30 seconds.
Using the wooden stick mix the ingredients until it’s thick.
Once it becomes hard to mix, take out the sticky solution and roll it in the palms of your hands into a ball.
This was so much fun to do with the kids, even my son who has sensory issues enjoyed it because it was in a cup. Hip hip hooray for mess free! With summer coming here at Mommy Kid Time we know how important it is to have fun boredom busters on hand. It is even more important to ALREADY have the ingredients! Everything you need is already in your pantry and laundry room!
